AIS - Autonomous Inspection System

AIS is a complete solution for automatic optical inspection of small parts in pallets or blisters. The pallets or blisters are manually placed in the system, which then scans all positions on its own. It identifies, measures, and verifies the parts and creates an inspection report at the end of each lot.

AIS is easily adaptable to new containers and products. Once created, an inspection configuration can be re-used at will.

AIS is based on the machine vision system VISIONexpert and a table robot. It is a compact solution for versatile inspection at small lot sizes.

Examples of products suitable for inspection with AIS: Surgical implants, electronic components, circuit boards, plastic parts, machined parts, membranes, high precision fittings, etc.

AIS System Characteristics

  • Measures parts in arbitrary pallets, blisters, or single part holders
  • Library for pallet or blister definitions and part types
  • Verifies part presence, identifies products, measures dimensions, checks completeness, inspects marks, codes, or labels, assesses solder points, etc.
  • Creates a quality protocol containing information on the lot, the measured data, and inspection conditions
  • Raises an alarm and/or stops upon finding a bad part; an error repeat sequence alarm is also available.

Options:
  • Various sizes of cameras and robots available
  • Product selection through bar code or 2D code scanner
  • Extensions for fully automatic part handling for loading parts onto the machine and eliminating faulty parts
  • Z axis (vertical), U axis (rotation)
